Y: The Last Man continues in an emotional and intriguing episode, “Neil,” in which Jennifer and 355 try to figure out what to do about Yorick’s survival, while Kimberly circles a plot to get back in power.
How Did He Survive? | 355 (Ashley Romans) has the pilots from the helicopter sequestered in a windowless room, while Yorick (Ben Schnetzer) chases after Ampersand and nearly gets caught by Marla. Jennifer (Diane Lane) tells Yorick that he is to remain out of public sight until further notice so as not to cause a conspiracy. N
ora (Marin Ireland) is abandoned by the rest of her neighbors, while in Isreal, a woman named Regina wakes up in a medical camp and is informed about the gendercide and then says that she is now the new President of the United States.
The Last Name on the List | Jennifer orders 355 to find a geneticist to potentially find out how Yorick survived and the only name on the list is Dr. Allison Mann. As Jennifer is informed of Regina’s survival, the remaining members of the Cabinet are concerned that she would have a legitimate claim to the presidency, especially since she was known for being an anti-vaxxer.
When Kimberly (Amber Tamblyn) finds out about this, she’s furious and manages to get a few of her father’s supporters in her camp. 355 convinces Jennifer to leave Yorick with her so she can take him to Boston to find Dr. Mann, but they must do it quietly and make sure that no one knows that Yorick survived since if word got out, the world would have questions as to how the President’s son survived.
Evacuation | 355 convinces the pilots to fly Yorick to Boston and swear to secrecy, while they sneak him out disguised as one of the male corpses. Nora and her daughter flee their home and briefly hear a song on the radio as they drive away.
Jennifer convinces a power plant worker to turn on the plants and potentially restore power, while Yorick and 355 fly out on a helicopter trailing the pilots on a second copter. The second copter suddenly explodes and goes down, but 355 tells Yorick that they have to go on and looks very guilty…
