Witches of East End Recap: Mourning Comes

witches-of-east-end-210-The-Fall-of-the-House-of-Beauchamp-recap

This week’s episode of Witches of East End picked up exactly where last week ended, Joanna and Wendy discovering Tarkoff’s “gift” to them – Ingrid and Freya hanging, lifeless in their backyard. What a sad day for Witches of East End fans everywhere! Even though we knew the girls would come back to life somehow, it still was quite a punch to the gut.

So after Wendy kicks Frederick out, she sits Joanna down to offer her last life for one of the girls but it’s impossible to choose which daughter they would save. Joanna attempts to kill herself to be with the girls, slitting her arms in the tub. Only Wendy finds her and saves her before it’s too late. Moves need to be made before Joanna goes off the rails again. So Wendy reluctantly asks Frederick to complete the ritual he was on track to complete with Tarkoff and bring her father here as he is the only one who can bring the girls back without consequences. Risky move!

Then Wendy and Frederick go in search of Tommy and instead find Tarkoff. As tricky as that sounds, he’s just who they need to help bring Wendy’s father to the earthly realm. Unfortunately, it takes using Tommy to bring him back but someone had to sacrifice something to get the girls back. Grandfather brings his grandchildren back and WoEE fans around the world rejoice as Freya and Ingrid take their first breaths in quite some time! Joanna is still cautious about her father though and urges the family to leave at once! Wendy and Freya follow her through the secret portal in the house but Ingrid decides to stay. Ingrid stays. With Frederick and her Grandfather. What this could mean for Ingrid’s entire future and the family home has me worried. Will the home turn evil in the coming episodes or next season? What do you think? As for the others, they’re in a whole new realm! Yes! Finally! Yes! Yes! Yes! Who else is excited? Fantasy elements, come at me! I am so ready! Let’s do this!

Meanwhile, Killian and Dash had their own brotherly issues to hash out. And by that I mean, Killian had the opportunity to off Dash but didn’t. That blood wouldn’t be on his hands. But it is possible even the seemingly innocent Killian already has blood on his hands. At least that’s what Frederick thinks, blaming him, at the bar, for leading Frederick down this path 400 years ago. Rushing out of the bar after that accusation, Killian goes to find Freya, only to find out what Wendy and Joanna already know. His way of coping? Going to a mysterious guy for help who only seems to confuse us more with an Eva look alike helping along the way.

With Killian off doing his own thing and off Dash’s back, Dash finally picks himself up from the floor, examining the incredible mess that’s been made. He stumbles upon the charm that was keeping his murder a secret which is now broken. But before dealing with that, Killian finds Dash and tells him the news about Freya and Ingrid. Dash’s way of grieving? Drinking. But that’s not all. Raven played by guest star, Sarah Lancaster (Chuck) picks Dash up at the bar and the two have quite a sexy night. Only later is it revealed, when Raven is on the clock, discovering a body washed upon the shore, that she works in law enforcement and her latest case involves the body that Dash is responsible for putting there. Something tells me Raven won’t survive this investigation. What do you think?

Do you think Raven will survive? Do you think Ingrid made the right decision? Do you think the King’s peace offering to his family is genuine and has no strings attached? Also, awesome music tonight! Can’t wait to see what we get next week!

Witches of East End airs Sundays at 9/8c on Lifetime.
