Witches of East End Recap: Electric Reunions

Wow! What an exciting night for Witches of East End fans! Each week, this show gets better and better and this week’s episode was a prime example of such. It’s still early in the season so many characters still had not crossed paths this season until now. Needless to say, we were in for one explosive episode!

Joanna finally realizes that her son, Frederick could be dangerous, since it turns out a symbol that she notices on his chest means he’s spiritually bound to his grandfather, the King of Asgard. Joanna goes to Wendy with her doubts, saying that they can’t let him know that they’re suspicious. Just like a sister. Not listening to what you told them until they’re in the same position and feel the need to tell you the obvious. Ha! So later, Frederick says that what’s left of Asgard is his corrupt grandfather who remains unquestioned, essentially leading a cult! Oh my! Joanna and Wendy want to make sure Frederick is not tied to any of that so they decide to retrace his steps to find out what exactly this mysterious boy has been up to. When they catch up with Frederick later on, he says he’s in danger and Wendy doesn’t believe him but Joanna does. Who do you believe?

Meanwhile, Dash continues to be haunted by Killian and by haunted, I mean pressured by the version of his brother that he’s hallucinating to do some damage. And boy oh boy does Dash do some serious damage – with his fiery, electric powers! Yes! We saw his powers do deadly things this week! Talk about trouble! Trouble. Trouble. Ingrid sees Dash use his powers (killing his blackmailer that he tells Ingrid is an intruder) and she not only breaks the witch news to him but elects herself to be his witchy mentor. Pretty odd considering she’s still a new witch herself but we know Ingrid likes to help people so this isn’t surprising. What was surprising was Killian returning to town and hugging, I repeat hugging Dash. Don’t know what that was all about. But wait – if Killian is back in town, will Dash’s hallucinations stop? And why is Killian back?

Well, Freya heads out for answers and finds Killian… wait for it…. with… his wife! Eva! Eva was the one who found Killian half dead when he was left for dead by his brother. As the two catch up, Killian wants to make sure that Freya didn’t go through with her wedding with Dash because of him and Freya has to deliver some bad news. But what is Freya supposed to say?! “You’re my soulmate but go ahead and stay married to Eva because your aura is happy with her?” Psh. Anyone Freya and Killian fans out there? What are your theories on how Eva will leave the picture? Because she’s got to…right? Not enough room for another love triangle so soon after the first, yeah? As for the news… Freya has to tell Killian about his mother and this is what ultimately brings Killian back to town.

All in all, this was one heck of an exciting episode. So much was packed in as the characters went searching for answers and found way more than they were looking for while viewers were also treated to a flashback of the time the family had to flee Asgard. We saw Frederick betray the family and the King putting the curse on them, right before being separated from Frederick for all this time. Is Frederick free from the reign of his grandfather? With both Frederick and Dash on the bad side, is it time for one of the ladies to cross a line as well? It’s looking like Ingrid could get in over her head and maybe do some damager herself if she sticks around Dash for too long. What do you think? And finally, we see that Victor has returned to town and is immediately captured and tortured. How do you think it’s all connected? Is it too late for him to be saved?

Who’s good? Who’s bad? Who’s gullible? Who can be trusted?
