Witches of East End Recap: Sneaky Son Meets The Witches
What an incredible episode of Witches of East End! This season is so much darker than season one and we’re only two episodes into the new season! This week, the big bad appears to be Frederick whom Joanna and Wendy finally told Freya and Ingrid about. Joanna tells the girls that their brother healed her and dismiss the concern of the girls because of the dark aura that came out of the portal. Joanna cleans it up by saying that someone else’s dark aura came through the portal. Mmm hmm.
Even Wendy says that Frederick was brainwashed and something is not quite right with him but Joanna is too blind to see anything bad in her newly returned son. Frederick knows that Wendy is onto him but isn’t threatening about it just yet. I can only hope that Wendy doesn’t put herself in danger by putting herself out there. She’s strong and can handle herself but it’s still worrisome. Wendy has a knack for rescuing her family members which I love! But she only has so many lives left.
With such mystery surrounding Frederick and whether he’s good or bad, not a lot of room was left for Freya this week. She attempts to makes contact with Killian but there are more important things happening between Frederick, Freya, and Ingrid. After sleepwalking, being undermined at work, making quite the discovery at work, and finding danger there after her boss is killed, Ingrid decides to move out. When I think of witches and moving out, I automatically think of Phoebe from Charmed. So it will be interesting to see how smooth Ingrid’s transition is, however soon it happens and if it lasts.
While this episode rocked, there was definitely not enough Freya! As for Ingrid, she had quite a lot going on that it was almost too much to keep up with. So should Freya continue to make contact with Killian? Is Ingrid’s move for the best at such a fragile moment in time when no one is safe? Do you think Frederick is good or bad and that Wendy is in danger?
Witches of East End airs Sundays at 9/8c on Lifetime.
