Look out.
DC Studios has dropped the highly anticipated first trailer for their second installment, Supergirl. Starring Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon) as the titular heroine, who made a cameo in the final moments of James Gunn’s Superman, the new film is based on the beloved comic series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow from Eisner winners Tom King and Bilquis Evely.
The trailer, set to Blondie’s hit song, “Call Me,” shows Supergirl and Krypto swept up in a space adventure alongside Ruthye (Eve Ridley), who enlists the Girl of Steel’s help in exacting revenge on the man who killed her father.
The film also stars Matthias Schoenearts (The Danish Girl), David Krumholtz (Serenity) and Jason Mamoa (Dune) and is directed by Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya) and written by rising star screenwriter Ana Nogueira.
From DC’s official synopsis, “When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strike too close to home, Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.”
Supergirl hits theaters on June 26, 2026.
