Van Helsing has really outdone itself on the creepy factor with their latest episode ‘Save Yourself.’ Vanessa and Sam face off and she must deal with the consequences of letting him survive the hospital, Doc and Axel continue their quest to find Vanessa, and Dmitri learns of his sisters death. Here is what went down!
Bad Blood | Axel (Jonathan Scarfe) isn’t going to survive another night without any blood, Doc’s (Rukiya Bernard) afraid he’ll have another seizure. Although her blood tastes awful to vampires, Doc encourages Axel to feed on her just as she did to him so many times in the hospital. Doc also apologizes over and over for letting Axel get changed, for not holding the door open for him. Axel’s main concern is finding Vanessa (Kelly Overton) so she can change him back and he can continue to help her.

Flesh Gets Lucky | Flesh (Vincent Gale), Mohamad (Trezzo Mahoro), and Lucky (Andrea Ware) have all left the safety of Lucky’s group and have set of on their own. Mohamad has developed quite a taste for cocaine while using it for the pain from his injuries, and the other two know they need to get him off of the stuff soon. Flesh and Lucky have a moment and share a kiss, which is probably just what Flesh needs to get his confidence up.
Playing Games | Sam (Christopher Heyerdahl) and Vanessa finally face off and she is determined to make him pay for what he did at the hospital and at this juvenile detention center. Vanessa thinks she’s scared him off and rounds up the surviving teens and take them back to The Johnson’s, where they discover Sam has run ahead of them and attacked their camp. Though many survived, some did not, Vanessa is ready to take Sam out but encourages Julius (Aleks Paunovic) to stay and make this place his home. Julius says he might one day, but he’s just put two and two together and realized Sam is responsible for his mother’s death. The pair goes hunting for a Sampire and find him inside an old building. Realizing he’s trapped, Sam throws himself out of a window several stories high. But by the time Vanessa and Julius got to the ground, he was gone. Guess their Sampire problem isn’t going away so easily.
A Legion | Dmitri (Paul Johansson) discovers the fate of his beloved sister and immediately knows what he needs to do. He approaches Julius’ old group of followers and tells them their leader has been turned human. They obviously don’t like that and want to get back at whoever turned him–Vanessa–so Dmitri tells them he is forming a legion and they will fight for him since their master can no longer lead them.
Sam is hands down one of the creepiest television characters we have ever seen, and we absolutely love him! What do you think he’s going to get himself up to now that he’s escaped Vanessa? Will Axel and Doc ever meet up with any of their old buddies, or will Axel eventually snap on Doc?
