The CW Orders Flash, iZombie and More for 2014-15 Season
Zombies and a new superhero to appear in new CW season.
The CW on Thursday revealed their programming for the upcoming 2014-15 season, which includes a lightning-fast superhero, a brain eating zombie, and the return of a sexy beast.
Among the new series ordered for next season are the Arrow spin-off The Flash, Rob Thomas’ buzzy iZombie, Jane the Virgin from Emily Owens MD creator Jennie Urman, and the new sci-fi drama The Messengers.
Pilots that didn’t make the cut were the Ahna O’Reilly starrer Identity and Supernatural: Bloodlines whose planted pilot failed to make an impression with Supernatural fans.
Returning next season are the previously announced Arrow, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Reign along with the just renewed Hart of Dixie, Beauty and the Beast, and The 100. The shows that will not be returning are the Sex and the City prequel charmer The Carrie Diaries, The Tomorrow People, and the sci-fi alien invasion-set Star-Crossed.
The CW is expected to unveil their schedule plans for its new lineup on Thursday, May 15 at the New York Upfronts.
