We are now halfway through the first season of The Carrie Diaries and each episode is always better than the last. POPULR had the chance to view tonight’s installment in advance and below we have provided a few details for the episode, “Caught.”
CAUGHT AT THE WORKPLACE | After learning about Carrie and George’s history and relationship, it’s nice to see Barbara, or “Bitchy Barbara” as Carrie calls her, tone her bitchiness down a few notches. From helping Carrie choose a stunning dress to being open about her late-night trysts, it’s fun that Carrie and Barbara have a more relaxed relationship at the law firm. We’ll see that when Barbara shows up late to work. “I’m wearing the same clothes from yesterday,” Barbara tells Carrie like a giddy schoolgirl.
CAUGHT WITH A BAD GRADE | Mouse is disappointed when she receives a low grade on her exam. As we all learned from Glee, anything below an A+ is what’s called an “Asian F.” It should’ve came to no surprise to Mouse, though. Instead of being busy studying while visiting Seth at his school, the two of them were just busy getting busy. Looks like Mouse is putting those new moves she learned with Walt to great use!
CAUGHT IN A SNOOZE | When a pair of tickets arrive in the mail for The Nutcracker, Carrie’s father is reminded of the tradition Dorrit and her mother had of going to the winter ballet show. With an extra ticket to spare, Mr. Bradshaw offers to go to the show with Dorrit. We get to see a rare smile light up Dorrit’s face as she enjoys the show, but that smile quickly disappears when she catches her father sleeping. “I came here to be with you,” he tells his upset daughter.
CAUGHT BREAKING IN | Mouse’s teacher agrees to give her an extra credit assignment to make up for the “poor grade” she received on her exam. Instead of having fun with her friends at the school dance, Mouse scrambles to beat the clock to complete her assignment before her 8pm deadline. She loses her race against the clock to turn it in, but Seth has the brilliant idea of picking the lock of her classroom to have it on her teacher’s desk. Unfortunately, with an episode titled, “Caught,” you know what’s coming. What will become of this? Will her failed attempt at getting her assignment turned in land her in suspension?
CAUGHT WITH A COP | Outside of the school, Donna catches Maggie with Simon, the hot cop who works for Maggie’s father. Donna uses her new-found leverage against Maggie and tells her to keep Carrie away from Sebastian, because even though Carrie and Sebastian aren’t together, both Carrie and Donna sense a little jealousy from him seeing her and George at the dance. Looks like Donna feels threatened. Poor Donna.
That’s all the scoop you’re getting from tonight’s episode. There are a few other events that happen in this episode which we are not allowed to reveal, so be sure you tune in to The Carrie Diaries tonight at 8|7c on The CW!
