We are just a little over a week away from the series premiere of The CW’s mid-season sci-fi drama, The 100. Over the past few weeks, several posters for the new series, which follows a group of 100 juvenile delinquents sent to Earth, has made its way online.
Just recently, the network, via the official show’s Twitter account, revealed two new web posters that are just as great as the ones that preceded them.
The first poster is of a skeleton whose bones are laid in place, which is highlighted by the sun. Hovering over the skeleton is an ominous shadow. It’s almost like an overlayed before and after shot. The mysterious figure looks as if he’s holding a spear which comes into play during the final moments of the pilot episode.
The second web poster showcases a very large, very high cliff with a beautiful, misty waterfall flowing over it. Near it, a flock of birds fly by. If you’ve seen the promos for the new show, you already know that the animals on this Earth are not quite what we’re used to seeing, so we’re going to assume that these birds have some kind of genetic mutation.
At first glance, the second poster looks as if it doesn’t offer much, but from what we’ve seen from the show so far, it looks as if this image hints at a big scene that takes place in the show’s third episode.
We can’t get enough of these great posters The CW has been serving out, and we hope we’ll get at least two more before the show makes its mark next week.
