The 100’s forthcoming season is getting an extension.
The writers of The CW’s apocalyptic hit tweeted Friday morning that the sophomore season of The 100 will have a total of 16 episodes (3 more than its inaugural season).

When we last saw the juvenile delinquents on Earth, the lives of Bellamy (Bob Morley), Finn (Thomas McDonell) and Raven (Lindsey Morgan) were up in the air. Hopefully we’ll get a better idea of who survived the season finale when the cast and creator of The 100 make their second appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con next Friday.

Ninety-seven years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, a spaceship housing the lone human survivors sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet. Based on the forthcoming The Hundred book series (initial two-book order), written by Kass Morgan and published by Little, Brown.
The expanded Season 2 of The 100 premieres Wednesday, October 22, at 9pm on The CW.
