The 100 Recap: Allies & Enemies Collide

Reapercussions

The writers of The 100 have really stepped up to the plate this season. If you thought season one was good, season two is bananas! And we’re only three episodes in!

We continue right where we left off. Clarke attempts to break Anya out but a worker comes in so Clarke jumps inside the cage with her! What! When the coast is clear, Clarke grabs Anya for an escape. Only they’re dropped in a chute filled with dead and dying bodies! Whoa, whoa whoa! The chute leaves them outside, just as reapers are coming, which forces them to hide right away. Only they hide in a bin that the reapers dump a body and badly broken still living guy in before dragging it along. Wow. Talk about raising the stakes in each and every scene.

Anya puts the man still living out of his misery before Anya and Clarke getaway. Clarke tells Anya that Mt. Weather has been taking her and her people’s blood to heal their people. Anya has her own plan though and leaves Clarke, heading in the direction of the reapers. Clarke heads the opposite direction but still gets trapped by the reapers. Only Mt. Weather crew save her from the reapers just in time! But Clarke’s not going with them again. Nor is Anya. Together, they run away and jump down a huge waterfall to escape. Only now that they’re alone and out on the ground, Anya decides to use Clarke as a prize. Yikes! How will Clarke get out of this mess?

Back at Mt. Weather, Jasper and Maya get closer and is not concerned about Clarke being missing when Monty can’t find her and tells him he’s worried. Jasper is right, Clarke can handle herself. But Monty is right too, everybody needs help. So they send Maya to find out information and she reports back saying that Clarke starting pulling at her healed injuries and ended up in the psych ward for a few days. Nice cover up. How long do you think it will take for the truth to come to light?

Meanwhile, the villagers, who are going after the reapers, decide to kill Octavia on the way. Only she’s fast and runs away to hide before they can get to her. But Octavia is still on their trail and waits for the right time to come forward, when the leader says that she will be bait for the reapers (as she sensed Octavia trailing them). Octavia says she’s not afraid. The villagers’ leader says she should be. Only as we see, there was no reason for her to be. She proves herself to be a mighty asset and is no longer one to kill in the villagers’ eyes.

Murphy and the crew are also ready to take out the grounders, not to mention, find Clarke and the others. They’re making slow progress if you can call it progress at all. Back at their camp, Councillor Kane punishes Abby with ten lashes for” aiding and abetting the enemy.” Do you think what Kane did was fair? And finally, we get no developments regarding Chancellor Jaha which is actually what I was most excited for this week. So, I guess we’ll have to wait another week for that.

We did get another jaw dropping cliffhanger this week, watching those at Mt. Weather diving up their prisoners to harvest or not. And Octavia is going to freak when she finds out who is in their possession. So, what revelation are you most looking forward to seeing play out next week?

The 100 airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on The CW.
