The 100 is stronger than ever in season two with a headstrong female leader in Clarke who is challenged to the max, a fragile and lonely leader in Chancellor Jaha who is fighting just to hang on and everything in between. Along with out of this world revelations! What a fantastic episode this week! The 100 had me on the edge of my seat!
So when the new camp (Mt. Weather) brings in injured people from the outside, Clarke runs to quarantine to find out if any of them are her people. She notices a bullet wound on the body of a soldier, which grounders don’t use, and comes to the conclusion that this camp is lying to them about what’s going on.
Jasper tells Clarke that the biggest threat to them is Clarke if she keep it up, it meaning being a nosy, ungrateful, know it all guest. After all, President Dante Wallace could always be kicked out if Clarke keeps brewing suspicions also known as trouble for them. Well, she doesn’t listen to Jasper. Instead, she opens up an old wound to get to medical to continue her spy work which, talk about nail biting, leads her to a dingy prisoner room which she finds none other than Anya in! Wow! What a revelation!
Meanwhile, Bellamy fills in Councillor Kane about the enemy just before shots are fired outside of their camp. It’s unclear who took the shot but without making a move in haste, Kane announces that unauthorized firearms will be punished. Later, the camp hears a man screaming just outside of camp and thy come upon three men who’ve been brutally killed. This urges Kane to secure the camp even more and send a small group out to find and return with the others.
Then, Raven is told that the bullet in her spine could kill her if they try to take it out (and she wouldn’t be put under anything during surgery) or paralyze her if they don’t. Raven demands the bullet be taken out and Dr. Abby goes ahead with the surgery. After the surgery, it appears she has significant nerve damage in her left leg. Hopefully she will fully heal and if not, make the best of what’s ahead of her.
As for Octavia? A random villager kidnaps Octavia and nurses her back to help before telling her to run. He’s a friend of Lincoln’s and tells her that he is answering for his actions but she won’t let Lincoln go that easy. Octavia uses the man as her hostage and approaches the village to make a deal. She’s not messing around. Only she’s one person and the villagers are many. The deal obviously doesn’t work in favor of Octavia as when making the trade, all hell breaks loose and Lincoln is once again taken away by the villagers. At this point, Octavia is alive but it doesn’t look good for her.
Above earth, Chancellor Jaha finds the baby that was crying hidden away in a deep part of the ship. He knows that he has to find a way to earth now, even if it means going outside of his ship to another to get what he needs to make the move. So he takes the plunge and makes the trip to the other side with the baby only to make it and find that the baby was an hallucination. And that’s not all. He then sees a hallucination of his son, who encourages him to keep going, which he does, as he makes his way to earth. It’s amazing the survival mechanisms that kick in when they need to. He makes it to earth but it’s also a desert! Where on earth is he?!
Where do you think Jaha is? What do you think will happen to Octavia next? Will Raven get better? Will Clarke get Anya killed or worse, her people? What are you most looking forward to seeing come to light after watching this episode?
