Teen Wolf’s Jill Wagner on Keeping Kate’s Big Secret

featured-teen-wolf-watchEveryone who knows me knows I love bad girls. I’ve loved them for as long as I can remember. The first bad girl I fell in love with is probably Ana Espinosa (Gina Torres) from ABC’s Alias.

On MTV’s Teen Wolf, the feelings I had for Kate Argent were the same. So imagine my sadness when she was killed off much too soon. Now imagine my rejoice upon her shocking return at the end of last season!

Kate Argent’s portrayer, Jill Wagner, spoke about her return to the show on MTV’s post-episode talk show, Wolf Watch, where she talked about her character’s comeback.

“[Creator] Jeff Davis and I had this discussion [about bringing Kate back since] Season 1,” she reveals. “So I knew way back. It’s hard for me to keep [my] big mouth shut and I even had to lie to my friends who do watch the show.”

Pulling double duty as both Kate Argent on Teen Wolf and then hosting the post-show talker, she had the daunting task of trying not to reveal her return on Wolf Watch whenever the death of her character was brought up by any of her celebrity guests.

“I’m talking to everybody and everybody’s like ‘Oh, it’s so bad that she died,’ and I’m [thinking to myself], ‘She didn’t. Oh, you have no idea.'”

Teen Wolf airs Mondays at 10pm on MTV.
