Teen Wolf’s Tyler Posey Talks Season 4 Villains

featured-teen-wolf-watchTeen Wolf stars Tyler Posey and newcomer Dylan Sprayberry stopped by MTV’s Wolf Watch where they discussed some of the new villains taking over the new season.

Of the new baddie Araya (Ivonne Coll) — who we’ve met briefly last season when she had Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) and Peter (Ian Bohen) chained to a fence — Tyler Posey welcomes the villain and says she takes the show back to its roots. “I think a really cool part of this season is that one of the villains is a werewolf hunter,” Posey said, “because the first season was basically the only time the villain was a werewolf hunter and Peter as the Alpha.”

As for whether or not he will suffer any repercussions after biting an innocent, something Araya warned against, Tyler says that because as of yet we don’t know the outcome of Liam’s werewolf bite, he’s not yet sure if Araya will be on his tail.

“Scott has bit somebody, but we don’t know if he’s dead or a werewolf yet, so if he becomes a werewolf, she will probably come after him.”

Does fresh face Dylan Sprayberry who plays Liam know how it will all play out? “I know what’s going to happen, but I can’t say,” he teases. “I could die, or I could be a werewolf. Dying is terrible, but also being a werewolf is terrible, too, because you’re all hairy all the time.” We’re guessing he’s in for the long haul based on the cast photo and promos for the new season.

BEST BITES

 • Tyler Posey describes the new-to-Beacon Hills supernatural creature Wendigo as being kind of like a zombie. “They crave blood and human flesh. He’s a supernatural cannibal.”

 • The Mute (Joseph Gatt) wore a little prosthetic over his mouth, which is later cleaned up with a little CGI in post. Gatt had a tiny hole on the side of the prosthetic for him to eat, drink, and talk. He had to wear that for 12 hours at a time during filming.

 • Before landing the role of Liam, Sprayberry had actually auditioned for the role of Young Derek, a part that eventually went to Ian Nelson. After landing the gig, Sprayberry watched the ENTIRE series over the course of just three days!

Teen Wolf airs Mondays at 10pm on MTV.
