We had no idea how diverse the supernatural community was in Beacon Hills until Liam pointed it out in the latest episode of Teen Wolf. The MTV hit series could go on for much longer and keep it interesting by introducing even more supernatural creatures that haven’t yet made it onto the show.
In the latest installment, titled “The Benefactor,” Scott and his friends out themselves to a freshman, two other new students are more dangerous than they seem, and Lydia finds out that she and her friends are a target. Here’s some of the stuff that went down in tonight’s episode.
MONSTER MASH | Scott (Tyler Posey) and Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) worry that Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) and Malia (Shelley Hennig) will become rabid, unstoppable beasts during their full moon transformation, so while Malia is informed and is completely fine with being shackled up, Liam needs a little more convincing. He agrees to go with Kira to what he believes is a house party and is met with Scott, Stiles, Lydia and Malia and learn that they, collectively, are a werewolf, banshee, werecoyote and a kitsune. They manage to tie him down, but the 15-year-old with anger issues proves too strong and breaks free. After a quick tussle and help from Mr. Argent (JR Bourne), Scott manages to calm Liam down.
ASSASSIN’S GREED | There are a lot of fresh, new faces on this season of Teen Wolf. Among them are two who carry a secret that pose a threat to our favorite Beacon Hills gang. Outside of the house and away from the party goers, Violet (Samantha Logan) is seen killing the beer keg delivery guy (who happened to be a werewolf) with her necklace! She returns to the party with her boyfriend Garrett (Mason Dye) who receives a text message from the “Benefactor” informing them that money has been transferred to their account. Yes, these two are for-hire assassins!
DECODE | All those strings of numbers, letters and characters that Lydia has been jotting down is the same that the muted killer was looking at on his computer in the season premiere. When she finds a sound-proof room at the house, she finds a record player which leads her to finding the key to decipher the coded message. After entering the password — which happens to be “Allison” — she and Kira discover that it reveals a hit list of supernatural beings in Beacon Hills… and they’re all on it.
BEST BITES AND OTHER OBSERVATIONS
• We loved the scene with Stiles and Malia in the basement. He stood by her through the whole ordeal even though she warned him to run. He must be crazy, because you never know what a were-anything is capable of, especially during her first-in-a-long-time werecoyote transformation.
• Though the Benefactor is unknown at this point, it looks as if he or she has a connection with Allison since that was the key needed to break the code. It’s totally Kate Argent (Jill Wagner), right?
• Lydia said she’s done with teenage boys. So she and the hot Deputy Parrish (Ryan Kelley) are totally going to hook up, right?
• It felt a bit out of place for shy and timid Kira to be all over Scott’s face at that boat house, wasn’t it?
