An unexpected guest shows up with a very important message; a friend is captured and cornered; one father becomes childless. Let’s go through some of the events that transpired in last night’s harrowing episode, “Insatiable.”
Eichen House patient, Meredith (Maya Eshet), escapes and shows up at Coach Finstock’s (Orny Adams) class with a message that someone iss about to die. Is her warning a real one, or was she in the “nut house” for a reason?
Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) uses her escape as an opportunity to ask her if she can determine Lydia’s (Holland Roden) location after she was kidnapped by the Nogitsune. She tells Stiles and Isaac (Daniel Sharman) that she has already asked Lydia where she was and that she did not want to be found. Okay, so clearly this chick is crazy because Lydia definitely wants to be rescued by her friends, right?
Scott (Tyler Posey) and gang learn that Lydia is being held at Japanese internment camp, Oak Creek. While there, they run into Kira’s mom Noshiko (Tamlyn Tomita) and her oni. The oni find Stiles and Lydia in a cell and seconds before he becomes a shish kabob, Stiles pulls out Noshiko’s last remaining blade and splits it in half effectively transferring her ownership of the oni towards him. The oni then appear outside and behind Stiles ready for battle with Allison (Crystal Reed), Kira (Arden Cho) and Isaac (Daniel Sharman).
Scott and Stiles find Lydia but she is confused and becomes worried about their presence there. “You’re not supposed to be here,” she tells them. “You didn’t get my message?” Apparently, Meredith really is a banshee and her message about Lydia not wanting to be found was a real one. She begins to panic and asks them who else is there to help save her.
Meanwhile on the outside, the oni continue to battle with Allison, Kira, and Isaac (Kira’s mom is just chillin’ on the side watching them). Allison manages to kill one of the oni with her homemade silver arrow heads. Seconds after she smiles with beaming pride and triumph, she is impaled with a sword from one of the remaining oni.
She falls to the floor and Scott rushes to her side where she later dies in his arms.
BEST BITES
• I have to admit that I teared up during Scott and his father’s (Linden Ashby) reunion. Seeing them together after all the horrible things he’s witnessed his son do, was extremely touching.
• We LOVED how badass Noshiko looked when she walked into Oak Creek with her oni behind her. Though, we later hated how cowardly she looked during the final battle scene in the episode where she just stood on the side and watched as her own daughter fights for her life.
