Teen Wolf Recap: Lord of the Flies

teen-wolf-322-de-void-recap

As we have come to know, the Nogitsune feeds off of pain, chaos and strife. In the latest episode of Teen Wolf the dark Kitsune doles out a whole lot of chaos with the help of a few of his buzzy friends. Let’s go over some of the things that went down in the episode, “De-Void.”

The Nogitsune — via a possessed Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) — unleashes a swarm of flies who infect the bodies of Scott’s (Tyler Posey) friends. The first fly enters Isaac (Daniel Sharman) through is IV and upon taking over his body, leaves the hospital, sleeps with Allison (Crystal Reed), then imprisons her on her own bed while he is set to ruin the lives of the were-twins.

Flies infect both Ethan and Aiden (Charle and Max Carver) and cause them to feud over whether or not Beacon Hills is the right place for them. And finally, Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) gets taken over by a fly who enters through a massive gash in his back and causes him to seek vengeance on Mr. Argent (JR Bourne) for the death of his family.

Meanwhile, Lydia (Holland Roden) suggests Scott and Co. enlist the help of Peter (Ian Bohen) to excise Stiles of the Nogitsune. He offers to help, but on one condition that she provide him with something. More on that later. Their plan is for Scott to dig through Evil Stiles’ mind to unearth Real Stiles, then guide him back through his own subconscious. But Scott isn’t going alone; Lydia is going in with him.

While in Evil Stiles’ mind, Scott and Lydia find Styles who is with the Nogitsune on the Nemeton playing a hard-hitting game of checkers, where they are both focused and calculating their next move. Scott manages to get the attention of Real Stiles and are woken up from their trance. Peter quickly pulls Lydia aside about the deal they had made and she whispers the name “Malia” to him. Apparently, the deal they had made earlier was for her to give up the name of his daughter.

Back on the couch Stiles wakes up and pulls out yards of cloth similar to what the Nogitsune had around his face. It appears that Stiles is removing the dark spirit from within himself and from the pile of gauze, the Nogitsune starts rising. It’s the first time Scott and his friends see this Nogitsune in action. Scott removes the bandages from the Nogitsune’s face to reveal Stiles — Real Stiles. The other Stiles who they had assumed was the newly freed Stiles was actually Evil Stiles! Hey, they’re called tricksters for a reason!

BEST BITES

 • We enjoyed seeing Allison and Kira (Arden Cho) work together to kick ass at the school while they fought Isaac, Ethan and Aiden. Girl power!
