The latest episode of Teen Wolf took us deep within the Eichen House, the same mental health facility that housed serial killer William Barrow. While the asylum may have been just the slightest bit foreign, its newest patient did find comfort in seeing a couple of familiar faces. Let’s go over some of the things that went down in “Eichen House.”
Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) bravely commits himself into the Eichen House so that he will no longer be a threat to anyone. While there, he sort of befriends his roommate Oliver (Matt Shively) who’s been there long enough to know that everything echoes within the house sooner or later. After Stiles’ failed attempt to make an outgoing phone call, he recognizes one of the other patients who happens to be Malia (Shelly Hennig)! Rather than thanking him for saving her life and reuniting her with her father, she punches him in the face and knocks him to the ground. With his face planted on the floor, he recognizes the grill on the ground as the top of the basement where he was being trapped with the Nogitsune. With orderlies restraining both Stiles and Malia, school counselor Ms. Morell (Bianca Lawson) comes to stop the chaos. She’s been everywhere lately!
Stiles tries to stay awake to prevent the Nogitsune from taking over his body once again and goes to the bathroom for breather. While there, he runs into Malia who’s taking a hot shower. She’s a lot colder now that she’s not a coyote. She explains that she punched Stiles because he invaded her home, for putting her on the run, for turning her back to human so that she can look at her father everyday and try to figure out how to explain to him that she is responsible for the death of her mother and sister. She wants to find a way to turn back to a coyote and Stiles tells her that he knows someone who can help her, but first she must help him try to get into the basement.
They find a way into the basement and through a wall, the find the dead body of the Nogitsune. Malia reaches into the Nogitsune’s pocket and pulls out a photo of a small group of people, one of whom Stiles recognizes. He tells Malia that he needs to get the picture to Scott and just then he gets tasered by Oliver who has been under the Nogitsune’s control. Oliver ties them up and threatens to drill holes in their heads while the Nogitsune slowly creeps back into Stile’s conscious and asking him to let him in completely. Stiles is powerless, however, and the dark spirit ultimately possesses his body once again.
Meanwhile, Scott (Tyler Posey) and his gang plot to take on an armored car to retrieve a scroll that could help exorcise the demon out of Stiles, but when an unexpected guest shows up, their plan to keep things civil is thrown out the window and use full force to get it.
BEST BITES
• We LOVED seeing Kira (Arden Cho) show off her new sword skills to Scott. Watching her swing her sword with precision was like watching a dance, and it was pretty bad ass.
• It’s been a long time coming, but Stiles finally had sex! And it couldn’t have been with a better person. We’re loving the chemistry between he and Malia!
