MTV’s hit series, Teen Wolf, returned for its special super-sized season tonight, and the wait has been worth it. The premiere brought a lot of drama, a lot of danger, a lot of laughs, and a lot of new faces.
Continue reading below for our recap of the Season 3 premiere titled, “Tattoo.”
HOT WHEELS | The action-packed episode starts off with a mystery woman shocking an unconscious Isaac (Daniel Sharman) back to life, rescuing him from an unknown location. They hop on her motorcycle and instructs him to “hold on” while they speed through the dark streets of the city. Not too far behind them are a pair of guys who are attempting to halt her and retrieve him. She and Isaac both end up in a hospital where we learn that she has a very important message for Scott (Tyler Posey). She later flees the hospital to track him down.
THE SINGLE LIFE | It’s been four months since the events that happened in last season’s finale and for Allison (Crystal Reed) and Lydia (Holland Roden), it’s also been four months since the two have spoken to Scott and and Jackson (Colton Haynes), respectively, the former who has since moved to London. It seems like Lydia is taking the separation pretty easily and looks like she has a new-found confidence we haven’t seen in her before. As for her love life, she’s perfectly happy being single and more interested in bedding guys than dating them. “I don’t want a boyfriend,” she tells Allison. “I want a distraction.”
ANGRY BIRDS | The animals of Beacon Hills have been acting very strange as of late. The first occurrence is when Scott, Stiles, Lydia and Allison are on a street and a deer comes running toward Lydia and Allison’s car and crashes into their windshield. “It was like it was crazy,” a horrified Lydia says. “No, it was scared,” Scott replies after examining the deer’s body. “Actually..terrified.” Other strange incidents include Lydia’s dog, Prada, biting her on the ankle, and the quad’s classroom being bombarded with a few hundred crows. Stiles’ father goes to the animal hospital to seek some answers on the weird animal behavior. There he finds all the recovering, caged animals have all died. “They did it to themselves,” Dr. Deaton (Set Gilliam) tells him.
Elsewhere in the episode, Scott gets a tattoo; Scott realizes the animal behavior is due to the arrival of the all-alpha pack; the woman who rescued Isaac is killed by the Deucalion, the leader of the all-alpha pack, and the same man who Scott helped at the hospital.
