Exciting news, Earpers! On July 22, 2017 at San Diego Comic-Con, it was announced that Wynonna Earp would be returning to Syfy for a third season! The announcement came at the end of an exclusive trailer shown to fans in the Wynonna Earp panel, and OMFGTV was there to witness it all!

Wynonna Earp is a show about a demon-hunting badass woman battling to end a family curse with the help of her sister and a few friends, produced by SEVEN24 Films and globally distributed by IDW Entertainment. In season 2 it is revealed that Wynonna is pregnant, due to the fact that Melanie Scrofano was actually pregnant, making her the first pregnant superhero, which is something that fans truly love. The second season has only aired 7 of its 12 episodes, which made the renewal announcement even more exciting to fans of the show who had to fight tooth and nail to get a second season.
We didn’t have to No Chill Syfy for a third season, according to IDW President David Ozer, because Syfy hears us and is listening. “Syfy recognized that passion [of the fans] and when coupled with superior writing, acting, directing and production values, saw that Wynonna Earp was more than just a distinctly unique television series. We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Syfy and look forward to another fun season of incredible entertainment with the cast and crew of Wynonna Earp.”
Showrunner Emily Andras also had a few words to share. “We are so excited have this strong female-led, witty action series return for another season and deliver something special to our passionate fans around the world.”
Wynonna Earp is currently airing Fridays at 10pm on Syfy, with the third season set to premiere in 2018.
