Syfy’s freshman series Van Helsing really focuses on Vanessa’s (Kelly Overton) storyline, but what about Axel’s (Jonathan Scarfe)?
OMFGTV recently spoke with Scarfe and discussed where his character is going on the vampire thriller this season.
Jonathan says Axel is very loyal, probably because of his military background, and will continue to be very loyal to Vanessa as the story moves forward. “He’s gonna go down with Vanessa no matter what.”

Scarfe also teases that the group may have to leave the hospital for good. “The truth is, everyone else wants to go and try and find another place– somewhere else where they can exist.”
But will Axel be able to leave the place he’s called home for so long? And if they decide to go, where will they go?
“They start to figure out whether they need to leave the hospital, venture forth, try to find other people, other ideas, other solutions. Maybe Vanessa’s daughter.”
