Written by Noelle Carbone and directed by Samir Rehem, Episode 7 of SYFY’s Revival dives deeper into the chaos that followed Em’s explosive confrontation at the warehouse. As the government tightens its grip on Wausau, secrets begin to unravel, drawing lines between allies and enemies and revealing a conspiracy rooted in Revival Night.

Titled “Too Many Secrets,” the episode picks up moments after Em heals Dana. Dana survives. Em collapses and loses consciousness. Dana gets Em out of the warehouse to meet Ibrahim and Cooper. Ibrahim initially thinks Em is dying, but Dana reveals that Em cannot die and that she is a Reviver. Ibrahim takes Em to hide and heal her.

In the cruiser, Dana comforts a confused Cooper. He’s been through so much, and Dana doesn’t understand what happened to Jordan. Cooper goes to stay with Jeannie.

Meanwhile, Blaine has Tyler in a church. He tells Tyler that he has an avenging angel that will send revivers back to Hell.

Wayne watches footage from the Check factory. The Governor also has the footage. It shows Em killing everyone in the Factory. Wayne confronts Dana, and is shocked by Dana’s condition; she should still be recovering. Dana fills Wayne in on Em and how special she really is. Dana isn’t afraid to let her dad know that he messed up, and that Revivers needed protection, too. Wayne finds out Em was murdered.

The Mayor shows up and punches Wayne. He and Diane are going to run. But suddenly General Louise Cale takes charge as the city falls under martial law. She takes the Mayor and his wife. A city-wide manhunt for Em is launched. Ibrahim is desperate to protect her, still studying the Moore Creek algae bloom. Em dreams about what she did to the Checks.Em tries to get up, but collapses. Ibrahim helps her.

At Riverside, Myles Miller begs Dr. Carla to stop the tests. Rhodey tries to give him strength through the grate. Wayne and Gen. Cole are also at Riverside, where they see a reinforced cage. The Mayor flipped on Wayne and tells Cale about Em, doing so because Wayne failed to protect Diane. Dana begins working on a murder board. Blaine is broadcasting his message on Redeemer Radio, claiming judgment is coming for the demons and the damned.

Wayne wakes up on a cell floor in Riverside with Gen. Cale in the cell. She tells him that her soldiers are hunting Em. The General offers Wayne leniency if he helps, but he laughs in her face. Wayne has a very emotional speech about how his daughters don’t trust him, so he encourages Cale to shoot. But she doesn’t.

Ibrahim gives Em a sample of Moore Creek water to drink. She begins to look better. They have to make a run for it and head to Moore Creek. Wayne is let go and heads to Dana’s. Dana catches her dad up on what she knows about Em’s murder. He brings up the Blackdeer case and that really touches a nerve with Dana.

Tyler is watching a recording that Blaine is showing him. It is of the reviver Wanda, and something happens to her with The Passenger, and it doesn’t seem pleasant like Jordan’s experience. Blaine wants to use this to cleanse the town of revivers and restore his name.

Wayne and Dana go through Brent’s belongings and track his cruiser to the crematorium the night of the Revival. It leads them to suspect Brent had a role in covering up what happened that night. Dana is shaken, but focused. She’s building her case piece by piece. Wayne and Dana create a hilarious diversion so Dana can get out of the house and to the crematorium without being followed.

Em and Ibrahim search for Moore Creek. Em shares what happened to her with the Checks, and is having a major identity crisis. She admits she would not take a cure if there was one, liking what she can do now more than what she could before. Ibrahim shares with her how peaceful it was when Jordan went with The Passenger. At Randy’s crematorium, Dana confronts Randy about the body Brent brought in on Revival Night. Brent reveals reporter May Tao was there too, and both witnessed the John Doe revive in the incinerator.

At Moore Creek, Em submerges herself in the water to heal fully. She has a flashback of the night she died. Aaron was there, but so was someone else in an animal skull mask. She emerges to find Ibrahim has been attacked and is unconscious at the feet of the man who has been following them.

Dana visits May, who has the same murder board as Dana. They share notes and realize this is all somehow connected to the Blackdeer case. May didn’t know Em was murdered, and now knows she’s a Reviver because Dana is telling everyone. May is looking for justice for Rose and Jesse Blackdeer. She thinks Brent is tied to Jesse’s death and Revival night.

Tyler starts a job at Riverside, meaning Blaine’s cult is preparing for their next move.

May takes Dana somewhere hidden in the forest to meet the John Doe. Em is there, and the Cypress sisters share a heartfelt reunion. Meanwhile, Ibrahim is still at Moore Creek.

Dana meets the John Doe, the burned man from Premier. It’s Jesse Blackdeer. Jesse was on the run for years and was ultimately returned to get answers about Rose. May has been helping Jesse and hiding him with Uncle Don.

The episode ends with the realization that whoever killed Rose and Jesse also killed Em.

Revival airs Thursdays at 10/9c on SYFY. Episodes are available to stream the following week on Peacock.
