In addition to the slew of new recurring characters for the forthcoming season of Syfy’s supernatural drama series, Dominion, viewers will not only see something new, they’ll hear it as well.
Award-winning composer Bill Brown has been tapped to take the post-apocalyptic thriller (currently in production in Cape Town, South Africa) in a whole new direction for its second season.
Best known for composing the compelling musical backdrop for all nine seasons of the hit CBS series CSI: NY, Bill has scored countless video games, including Marvel’s Captain America: Super Soldier, for which he was nominated for Best Original Music for the orchestral/electronic hybrid at the Canadian Video Game Awards.
Brown is known for beta testing instruments and being on the cutting edge of music technology. So it’s no surprise that he’ll soon be exploring the capabilities with new reissue of Moog Music’s classic synthesizers from the golden age of electronic.
“I’m a huge fan of both thrillers and science-fiction and Dominion is a fantastic combination of both. I’m excited to work with such a talented team and hope the Dominion fans enjoy my music,” Brown shared from his Los Angeles studio, in an exclusive statement to OMFGTV.
Based on characters from the hit theatrical film Legion (2010), Dominion is set in a post-apocalyptic future, 25 years after an army of lower angels waged an epic war against mankind. The series follows the reluctant “Chosen One,” Alex, who must fight to save Vega (what was formerly Las Vegas) from the angels that are hell-bent on destroying humanity.
In Dominion’s second season, humanity continues its struggle against the archangel Gabriel and his army of angels. Alex journeys from Vega to the legendary city of New Delphi, a human enclave with a dark secret, hoping to secure a military alliance with its charismatic leader. Back in Vega, Claire Riesen faces a civil war, pitting her against the disgraced David Whele and his newfound rebel allies. While war rages in the few cities left on earth, Michael stumbles upon a mystery in the form of Mallory, a perfect small town seemingly untouched by mankind’s war with the angels.
Season 2 of Dominion is set to premiere on Syfy in Summer 2015.
