Continuing OMFGTV’s “Deadly Class” coverage with series star Liam James, following the newest episode, “The Clampdown,” James discussed the big moment between Billy and Petra (and Lex) and how the three actors brought levity to the scene.
In “The Clampdown,” when the three of them are locked in a room together, Billy and Lex fight over their crush, Petra, who suggests that they all have a threesome to settle their feelings. James described the atmosphere on set between himself, Taylor Hickson (Petra) and Jack Gillett (Lex).

“We’re so lucky that we have this incredible, very special show we get to do,” James began. “Everybody is so close. It’s weird, you get excited for these crazy scenes where you’re supposed to be vulnerable.
“It’s like a play. It’s such an interesting scene. I really enjoyed watching Jack and Taylor do their work because it was a huge scene for both of them. They did such a fantastic job.”
James also shared a rather mortifying moment that occurred on the set while he was filming the scene. “I went to my room to get changed into my underwear and I’m trying to put on a brave face. And I opened the door and my manager was just about to knock on the door! It was one of those moments! (Laughs) And that was his first experience with ‘Deadly Class!’ He was like, what has my client gotten himself into?”
Although Billy, Lex and Petra don’t actually go through with the threesome, much to the boys’ surprise, James hints that Billy’s feelings for Petra are far from resolved. “The reality of their situation is that they’re so close because they’re going through these death defying things everyday, but at the same time, that makes you not want to get close to people because you have that hurt of losing them,” James said.
“It’s complicated, but I think he still loves her! Good writing leaves you speechless at the end of a scene. You don’t know what to say, you don’t know what’s going to happen.”
