Supergirl star Chyler Leigh directs this second installment of last week’s time travel saga in “Prom Again!” Brainy and Nia must correct an error in the time continuum, while Kara gets caught in the middle and a young Cat Grant only adds to the problem.
Wrapping Things Up | With Brainy (Jesse Rath) and Nia (Nicole Maines) trapped by Naxim (Chris William Martin), Kara (Izabela Vidovic) hears them in trouble and zooms in to save them, but Cat (Eliza Helm) gets it all on video. Brainy locks Naxim up in his ship and cloaks it, alerting the DEO to its location and he and Nia prepare for the Midvale prom, where Kara will get hurt by the meteorite and they plan to collect her DNA. Nia has another dream of an empty cage and once again wishes that she could call her mother to help her with her powers, but Brainy forbids it.
Out of the Sky | Cat finds the invisible ship and accidentally frees Naxim and his henchman, Mitch (Matt Baram), who take her hostage and head for Midvale High, where Kara tells Kenny (Peter Sudarso) that she loves him before punching the Kryptonite filled meteor out of the sky. Injured by the Kryptonite, Kara crashes into the empty dance hall, where Brainy, Nia and Alex (Olivia Nikkanen) find her. Naxim demands that the Kryptonian show herself, but Kenny tells them that he is Kryptonian and they abduct him.
Naxim and Mitch quickly figure out Kenny’s ruse and demand that Kara reveal herself in ten minutes or Kenny dies. Nia and Brainy lock Kara and Alex in the janitor’s closet to prevent them from interfering, but Alex breaks them out and encourages Kara to save Kenny. Nia has yet another dream of the pink cougar free of the cage, but this time, she sees the letters PW on the cage and somehow manages to bring the cougar into reality to chase off Naxim and Mitch.
Messing Things Up | Nia and Brainy free Kenny and Cat, but Kara storms in to fight Naxim and Mitch and accidentally frees their captive aliens. To make matters worse, Cat tells the cops and they arrive and arrest Kara and Kenny. Brainy panics, but Nia says that they can use the time machine to go back to a few hours prior and stop Cat from screwing everything up, figuring out that Cat is the pink cougar. Kara overhears them talking about their plan and escapes to follow them.
Nia and Brainy travel back in time four hours and find out that Kara stowed away, but keep her around. Nia tracks down Cat and destroys the drone she filmed everything with and convinces her to leave the Daily Planet and her editor Perry White i.e. PW and start CatCo. When Brainy, Nia and Kara return to the ship, they travel forward a few hours and find that everything is fine and Naxim and Mitch are locked on the ship.
After Kara punches the meteor, she tells Kenny that she’s going to National City and the two of them part ways on good terms. Brainy and Nia get the rock with Kara’s DNA on it and the two of them blast off to the present.
