She Hulk: Attorney At Law takes a breather in episode seven, “The Retreat,” which is a funny detour that also delves into Jen’s issues when she gets ghosted by a date. Plus, a check in on what Emil Blonsky’s been up to since being freed from prison.
Back in the Game | Jen (Tatiana Maslany) blasts HAIM’s “Now I’m In It” as she prepares for a date with Josh (Trevor Salter), the nice guy from last week’s wedding, and after a few perfect dates, he totally ghosts her and ignores her texts for a few days, driving Jen up the wall. After a few days of this, Jen gets a call- from Blonsky’s parole officer, who tells her that Blonsky’s inhibitor device malfunctioned and they need to check his ranch to see if he’s transformed recently. They go to the ranch and Blonsky (Tim Roth) denies transforming, but after the officer leaves, two superpowered guys start fighting and accidentally trash her car, leaving her stranded at the ranch with no wifi.

Remember That Guy? | Jen ends up in Blonsky’s shack, where he’s hosting a meditation circle for a bunch of characters, including a vampire and a porcupine man. All seems well, until some guy walks in and Jen recognizes him as one of the guys who jumped her behind her house with Asgardian weapons. Jen hulks out and throws him into the wall, but Blonsky insists that they talk through their issues. The guy tells Jen that he was using the weapons as a defense mechanism and apologizes to her, but Jen is still distracted by Josh’s refusal to text her back.
Loving Jen | Blonsky and the group get Jen to let her guard down and admit that she’s worried about people only liking her because she’s She Hulk. After a few hours of therapy, spa treatments and chats with the group, Jen moves on and deletes Josh’s number from her phone and bids adieu to the group and gets her car towed by Slott Services- named after She Hulk comic book writer Dan Slott. But Wait! A flashback to three days earlier reveals that after their third date, Josh copied Jen’s phone and is texting with someone named HulkKing!
