“She Hulk: Attorney At Law” Episode ‘The People vs Emil Blonsky’ Recap: Objection, Your Honor

It’s time for The People vs Emil Blonsky in She Hulk: Attorney At Law‘s latest episode, um, “The People vs Emil Blonsky.” On the nose, don’t you think? This week, Jen’s defense of Blonsky falls to pieces, while her former colleague turns to Jen’s new firm for help.

Legal Troubles | Jen (Tatiana Maslany) returns to Blonsky’s (Tim Roth) prison cell, demanding to know why and how he escaped from prison, to which he lays the blame solely on the feet of the Sorcerer Supreme, Wong (Benedict Wong). Jen calls Nikki (Ginger Gonzaga) to track down Wong, who posts a “thirst trap,” i.e. a photo of her in front of books, to lure him out, while Jen’s old colleague Dennis approaches the firm to sue his superhuman ex for shapeshifting into Megan Thee Stallion and scamming him out of $175,000.

Eye Witness | Wong opens a portal to Jen’s office and explains that he freed Blonsky from prison as part of a trial to become sorceror supreme, but Blonsky returned to prison of his own free will. Meanwhile, Dennis’s case goes to trial against Runa, an Asgardian elf who keeps shapeshifting into the judge to turn things in her favor. Jen summons Wong to Blonsky’s parole hearing and he defends his decision to free Blonsky, but the board isn’t convinced that Blonsky is fit for parole since he can change into the Abomination at will. Also, they say that Wong committed a crime by freeing him, but Wong simply teleports out of there.

Part of the Story | Dennis’s lawyer puts Jen on the stand at Dennis’s trial to speak to his character and she pretty much rips Dennis a new one, saying that he’s so delusional about himself that he would believe he’s actually dating Megan Thee Stallion. This works wonders, as the judge awards Dennis a victory and damages, and in a shocking twist, the real Megan Thee Stallion is in the courtroom!

Jen returns to the hearing and recommends that Blonsky be released with an inhibitor that prevents him from transforming into the Abomination, to which the board agrees. After making an appearance on the news as She Hulk, Jen is jumped in an alley by thugs with Asgardian weapons, but she kicks their asses and sends them fleeing. As they drive off, though, they say that their boss is not going to be happy.
