Allanon is in some real danger in the latest episode of The Shannara Chronicles, and Wil must find him and bring him to Bandon if he ever wants to see his uncle Flick again. ‘Graymark’ was written by Javier Grillo-Marxuach and directed by James Marshall.
Queen Lyria | In Leah, Queen Tamlin (Carolne Chikezie) informs Lyria (Vanessa Morgan) that Eretria (Ivana Baquero) did indeed take diamond bribe offered to her, and warns Lyria of what will happen to Eretria if she goes after her. The Queen also fills her daughter in on why she needs to marry Ander (Aaron Jakubenko), they need her on the throne to ask the humans for help when the elf civil war eventually happens.
Ander asks the secret murder elf, whose name we find out is Edain (Matthew Arbuckle), about Catania, and he informs the prince that she couldn’t bare to see him marry someone else and left. When Ander leaves, Tamlin requests that Edain set up a meeting with General Riga (Desmond Chiam) for her, revealing that she knows Edain is part of The Crimson.

Torture Time | Allanon (Manu Bennett) has been captured by The Crimson and is being kept at Graymark, a former stronghold of the Warlock Lord, where he is beat and tortured. The Druid tries talking sense into the General, but the elf won’t listen. He’s searching for the Codex of Paranor, aiming to destroy it and all magic in the Four Lands. Allanon knows this is part of the Warlock Lord’s plan, turning on each other instead of stopping him, and Riga is letting it happen. Riga knows Allanon won’t give up the location of the Codex easily, so he plans on using someone Allanon cares about to break him.
Break In | When Wil (Austin Butler) finally wakes after his Bandon (Marcus Vanco) battle he finds Eretria walking towards him. She fills Wil in on her Amberle vision while Mareth (Malese Jow) and Jax (Gentry White) get to know each other outside. Eretria has used the diamonds she received from the Queen of Leah to pay Jax to find Wil. The group convinces Jax to escort them to Graymark to rescue Allanon.
Jax pretends Wil is his bounty so he may collect the money for his head, getting Wil into the stronghold. Before leaving, Eretria slipped a lock pick into Wil’s mouth, and once he’s locked up inside he uses it to break free and find the Druid. Of course things don’t go as planned and Riga catches them. He knows Jax must have been involved and orders the tunnels to be sealed, unfortunately that is exactly where Jax, Mareth, and Eretria are!
The Crimson decide they’ll try to use Wil to get Allanon to reveal the location of the Codex, and slowly start draining the blood from his body via a needle in his neck. Wil is extremely lucky for what happens next; in the tunnels below Mareth begins to sense her fathers magic and uncovers his staff. Mareth to the rescue! She bursts into the torture room and knocks Riga out with some fire.
But their battle is not over, they must still fight their way out of the stronghold! And fight they do, particularly the badass ladies! They fight with all their might and make it out!
Now that Wil, Eretria, and Allanon are reunited things should get real interesting! What’s going to happen between Allanon and Wil? Will Lyria and Eretria be reunited?
