As previously reported, the first season of of the series based on the sweeping, best-selling fantasy book series by Terry Brooks, will air this summer on Spike, where it has moved, ahead of its season 2 premiere later this fall. The time has come and The Shannara Chronicles is set to make its network premiere on Spike this week.

Set thousands of years in the future, the story follows three heroes, Elf-Human hybrid Wil, Elvin Princess Amberle, and Human Rover Eretria, as they embark on a quest to stop an evil Demon army from destroying the world.
Below you will find a preview of the first episode, “Chosen: Part 1,” where Amberlie becomes one of the Chosen but has a frightful vision. Eretria sets her sights on Wil and the Elfstones he received from his dying mother.
“The Shannara Chronicles” stars Austin Butler (Wil), Ivana Baquero (Eretria), Manu Bennett (Allanon), Aaron Jakubenko (Ander) and Marcus Vanco (Bandon) along with new cast members Vanessa Morgan (Lyria), Malese Jow (Mareth), Gentry White (Garet), Caroline Chikezie (Queen Tamlin), and Desmond Chiam (General Riga).
The Shannara Chronicles Season 1 premieres Thursday, June 29, at 11pm on Spike.
