OMFGTV was lucky enough to attend San Diego Comic Con again this year, and we’ve brought you back some news about the rest of season 4 of Fear the Walking Dead! We were able to attend the press conference style pressroom and got some of the lowdown on what’s to come for our favorite survivors! In attendance was Ian Goldberg, Andrew Chambliss, Scott Gimple, Michael Satrazemis, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Maggie Grace, Garret Dillahunt, Lennie James, Jenna Elfman, and Danay Garcia.
Alicia’s Change | When Fear the Walking Dead began, Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) was just a teenage girl obsessed with her boyfriend, but she has truly transformed into a formidable survivor by this point. Alicia has always had the luxury of having her family around her to help guide her and keep her tied to what’s important, but now Alicia is the only Clark left. “What’s great though,” says Debnam-Carey,” is that we now get to see Alicia now purely as her own character completely. She no longer has ties to her mother and her brother.”

Theme | Every season of Fear the Walking Dead has had some sort of theme that they’ve carried throughout the season, and the season 4B is no different.
“I think redemption is a really big theme in the back half [of season 4]” says Goldberg. The group now has to figure out how to “carry on Madison’s legacy of hope,” and determine the best way to “bring light into this dark world.”
More TWD Crossovers? | This season has brought Morgan (Lennie James) over from The Walking Dead, opening the door for more opportunities of the sort. “Things could happen. You never know who might pop up on Fear the Walking Dead. That includes The Walking Dead and potentially people in the past from Fear the Walking Dead,” teases Gimple. But he also says he “wouldn’t expect it all the time.”
Al’s Tapes | Althea’s (Maggie Grace) videotapes will continue to play a role in the back half of this season according to Goldberg. We will find out why they are so important to her and possibly what’s on them!
Universe Expansion | Although he couldn’t say much, Chambliss did tease the possibility of the TWD universe expanding even further. “There’s a lot of stuff cooking in the garage right now.” He joked about frozen walkers getting their own show, but seriously said that they really are working on some universe expanding ideas.
Fear the Walking Dead returns to AMC Sunday August 12 at 9pm!
