The secrets behind Munsch and Holt were revealed on the latest episode of FOX’s horror-comedy Scream Queens. In addition to that, the Chanels discover that there’s another serial killer on their hands. Here’s a brief rundown of what happened on “Warts and All.”
MUNSCH ON THIS | Dr. Cathy Munsch’s recent strange behavior catches the interest of Zayday Williams (Keke Palmer). Zayday believes she — along with the Chanels — were recruited so that they could be killed off one by one by their new employer. Dr. Munsch reveals she’s dying and that she started the hospital to find out what her disease was before it kills her. Zayday reveals to Munsch that she has Kuru, a disease that cannibalists get after they eat people. While her travels to New Guinea, she unknowingly consumed contaminated brain tissue, which led her to contracting the disease. Unfortunately for Munsch, there is no cure and she has less than a year to live.
HANNIBAL HESTER | After nearly getting killed off by the Green Devil, Cathy Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) enlists the help of “Quantico’s Finest,” Denise Hemphill (Niecy Nash) to try to prove she is not the killer. Hemphill suggests getting inside the mind of a killer to help catch the killer, and they — along with Chanel (Emma Roberts) and Chanel #3 (Billie Lourd) — visit the committed and sequestered Hester (Lea Michele) for insight. Not only does Hester know who the killer is, she reveals that she knows there’s a connection to the Halloween massacre that happened at CURE 30 years ago. In exchange for information, she requests that she be transferred to the newly re-opened hospital in a room with a view along with some super high-end beauty products. If you’re going to be locked up, might as well look pretty, right?
THE DEVIL’S HAND | Chad Radwell (Glen Powell) hires a private investigator to look into Dr. Brock Holt’s mysterious hand and discovers that the new doc was the recipient of a hand from one of the world’s most notorious serial killers. Marshall Winthrop, a world-champion squash player, lured nearly 600 opponents from Craigslist with the promise of a game, and after they lost, Winthrop would kill them. Winthrop was executed by the state and was a full-body organ donor.
Is Dr. Holt the Green Devil killer? You have to admit that the masked maniac does have some killer skills swinging that machete when offing his victims. It’s a skill a world-chapion squash player could possess, so with Holt with Winthrop’s hand, it is possible.
Also, were you as happy as we were to see Denise Hemphill (Niecy Nash) in the flesh? We really hope she appears in every episode again. She’s hilarious!
Scream Queens airs Tuesdays at 9pm on FOX.
