At Gamescom Opening Night Live, Geoff Keighley welcomed the creators of Prime Video’s hit series Fallout, Jonathan Nolan and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, alongside series stars Ella Purnell (Lucy MacLean) and Aaron Moten (Maximus) to unveil the first look teaser for the highly anticipated second season of the series, as well as reveal that the second season will premiere on Prime Video on December 17 with new episodes dropping weekly thereafter.
The teaser showed the uneasy alliance between Lucy and The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) as the pair head to New Vegas to search for Lucy’s treacherous father. Fans also got a first look at a new character played by Justin Theroux as well as a monstrous creature known to game fans as the Deathclaw.
During the Gamescom presentation, Robertson-Dworet revealed that season two will have more flashbacks to Cooper Howard’s past, saying, “He’s going through traditional family problems, like what do you do when your wife is plotting nuclear war?” Purnell also discussed her character’s team up with The Ghoul. “The question at the center of the season is, will Lucy change the Ghoul or will the Ghoul change Lucy?”
Also starring Kyle MacLachlan, Moises Arias, Zach Cherry, Leslie Uggams and Sartia Choudhury, the critically acclaimed first season of Fallout is now streaming on Prime Video.
