James Wan’s “Teacup” Crosses the Line & Teases Gruesome/Graphic Scene You Won’t Forget in Official Trailer

WE ARE *NOT* IN CONTROL.

Peacock on Sunday debut the new official trailer of its upcoming horror-thriller Series Teacup. The streaming service also unveiled brand new key art along with additional first-look photos, all of which you can check out below.

Teacup follows a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat in order to survive. Inspired by the New York Times bestselling novel Stinger by Robert McCammon.

Not only does the official trailer reveal much more of what viewers can expect from the James Wan series when it debuts later this fall, but it also teases a much talked-about graphic scene that viewers will not be able to get out of their minds.

“We’re excited for [viewers] to see [the scene] in its full glory,” Showrunner and Executive Producer Ian McCulloch told PopWire earlier this year. “I think it’s awesome how the director of photography, the effects people, practical effects people, all came together and made something both terrifying and affecting.

“Also, what I wanted to do was we didn’t want to reinvent the wheel,” McCulloch continues. “We wanted it to be something that I don’t think anyone’s seen before. And I feel like it reaches for that ceiling. I’m very excited for them to see that.”

Peacock also unveiled new first-look photos which include another look at the mysterious stranger with a cryptic warning for the Chenoweth family. And lastly, Teacup‘s brand new key art features Yvonne Strahovski’s Maggie and Caleb Dolden’s Arlo as they open the door to unknown threats.

The series stars Yvonne Strahovski, Scott Speedman, Chaske Spencer, Kathy Baker, Boris McGiver, Caleb Dolden, Emilie Bierre, and Luciano Leroux.

Teacup‘s eight-episode season will debut with two episodes on Thursday, October 10, and will continue with two brand new episodes for three consecutive weeks until Halloween.
