“The Originals” nears the halfway point of its final season with a gut punch of a death in “What, Will, I, Have, Left.” Roman captures Hope and Hayley and is forced to make a difficult choice. Klaus and Caroline team up to track down Hope and Elijah gets into the fray in a surprising way.
Infiltration | Roman takes Hope to the house where Hayley is being held and slaps her with magic suppressing cuffs. He believes that Greta will simply let the two of them go if they bind their werewolf genes, but Hayley knows better and tries to convince Roman to resist his mother’s wishes.
Meanwhile, Greta flies to France to meet Elijah and Antoinette and successfully convinces Elijah to come to New Orleans to defeat Klaus, now that he’s coming for Roman. In other news, Freya tries to convince Vincent to tell Declan about the supernatural community of New Orleans when he is fretting over Hayley’s disappearance. Vincent is worried that doing so will bring Declan into more trouble, and to make matters worse, Declan is Cami’s distant cousin.

A Really Bad Idea | While Roman debates whether or not to follow through with Greta’s orders, Hope comes up with a plan: Have Hayley suppress her werewolf side to uncloak her from the cloaking spell so Freya can find them. This works, but the serious downside is that Hayley is now only a vampire and in other words, killable.
Klaus and Caroline go off to find Hope and Hayley and they have a sweet trip down memory lane where Caroline admits that she doesn’t regret meeting Klaus. Well, that’s nice! I’m sure nothing bad will happen at the end of the episode that will wipe that smile off my face!
Did That Just Happen???!!! | Elijah arrives and snaps Caroline’s neck and does a battle with Klaus outside, while Greta arrives inside and tries to kill Hayley, proving to Roman that his mother has murderous intent. Greta literally has Hayley against the wall when Elijah throws Klaus inside, impales him and offers to help Roman. The heartbroken Hayley then tears Greta’s daylight ring off and throws them both outside WHERE THEY BOTH FREAKIN’ BURN TO DEATH!!!! I honestly wish I was making this up!!!
That’s right, we get Phoebe Tonkin for a grand two episodes this season and now she’s dead! Um, WHAT THE HELL!!!!
If you’ve somehow survived that, “The Originals” airs Wednesdays on The CW.
