“The Originals” Recap: Watch Out For Snakes
The final season of “The Originals” continues in “One Wrong Turn on Bourbon.” Klaus reunites with Hope to find the missing Hayley, leading to a tense father/daughter confrontation. Marcel and Josh try to serve justice, while Vincent gets a reading of a grim future.
Utterly Disposable | The vampire community of New Orleans wants Henry dead for killing Poppy, so Marcel and Josh track him down the bayou and convince the werewolves to hand him over for a sentence in the underground torture gardens- been a while since we’ve seen those. Marcel holes Henry up inside the cement, but the episode ends with Henry’s torn up body hanging from the Mikaelson’s house.

Dark Future | Freya, being the cool gal she is, hooks Vincent up with a fortune teller, but their first date doesn’t go too well. The woman sees a future that links Hope to the imminent destruction of New Orleans, but Vincent seems convinced that she can also avert a grim future and save New Orleans from chaos.
Speaking of Hope, Klaus finally sees her after seven years and Hope is pissed that he hasn’t talked to her in all this time. The tension is knife-worthy, even more so when Marcel tells Klaus that Henry told him it was Hope who knocked out Hayley. That’s right, Hope knocked out her own mother and locked her in a coffin just to get Klaus to visit her! She really is a Mikaelson!
Daddy Issues | But wait! It gets worse! Klaus and Freya arrive at the church where Hope has Hayley locked up and find a bloody torn up coffin with no sign of Hayley. When Klaus tells this to Hope, a frickin’ snake comes out of her mouth! Klaus sends Hope on the first trip back to Mystic Falls and vows to find Hayley. When Freya tries to use magic to find her, along with Keelin who is in town to pick her up, she realizes that she can’t love Keelin and her family at the same time and tells her to leave New Orleans.
Do you think Hope is the villain? What do you think happened to Hayley? Let us know in the comments.
