Before our trip to the San Diego Comic Con we asked a whole bunch of Nikita fans for any questions they would like us to run by the cast and executive producer. One of the questions we kept getting was whether or not there would be a shower scene between Nikita and Michael (Mikita).
“I don’t know if there’s any plan for that right now,” Shane West told us during the press interviews. “[Nikita and Michael] are happy right now. We’re starting off with them being happy again and we ended the second season going towards that. We’re not starting off season three with them in trouble as in their relationship. So they are happy. I don’t know how quickly they’re going to jump to [the shower scene] but I’m sure at some point we can try that. I’m not going to object.
Creator and Executive Producer Craig Silverstein shared that he is indeed working on it and revealed that he had originally planned for it to go down in the Season Three premiere, however, there were a lot of challenges in making it happen.
“Shower scenes are really hard,” Silverstein said. “To build a shower on our set, which is to make it the most shootable, we have to have all this water. I thought that would be easy, but it’s not. We’d have to flood the set. Then, to go out and shoot it on location, you can’t move those walls. So it’s sort of like finding the perfect shower is more of a problem than filming the shower scene.
He remains optimistic that fans will get to see the power duo getting steamy before season’s end. “I said it would happen, so it’ll happen.”
