Lance Reddick (“Fringe”) has found his next gig, going from Amazon Prime for Bosch to Netflix for the live-action series Resident Evil. In addition to Reddick, the streaming giant announced the core cast of the series, which you can check out below.
The scripted series will tell a brand new story building on Capcom’s legendary video game franchise. It will consist of 8 one-hour episodes, whose premiere date will be announced at a later time.
Netflix’s Resident Evil hails from Andrew Dabb (“Supernatural”), who will serve as showrunner, executive producer, and writer.
Per the official logline provided by Netflix: Nearly three decades after the discovery of the T-virus, an outbreak reveals the Umbrella Corporation’s dark secrets.
In addition to Reddick, who will star as Albert Wesker, the Resident Evil cast includes Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, and Paola Nuñez.
