The global phenomenon known as “Power Rangers” is approaching its 30th anniversary this year and as such, Netflix is marking the occasion with a highly anticipated special which will reunite classic actors from the original series.
“Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once and Always” has revealed its first trailer, showcasing the returning cast members from the classic “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” series, whose brightly colored superheroes must come together in the wake of tragedy to save the world once again.
Returning to reprise their iconic roles are Walter Jones (Zack Taylor/Black Ranger), David Yost (Billy Cranston/Blue Ranger), Steve Cardenas (Rocky DeSantos/Red Ranger), Catherine Sutherland (Kat Willard/Pink Ranger), Karan Ashley (Aisha Campbell/Yellow Ranger), Johnny Yong Bosch (Adam Park/Black Ranger) and newcomer Charlie Kersh playing Minh Kwan, daughter of Trini Kwan, the original Yellow Ranger, whose actor Thuy Trang tragically died in 2001.
“Power Rangers” began in 1993 with the original series and ever since has continued to enthrall children and adults alike over 29 seasons, over 100 different actors playing the iconic heroes, and a film reboot in 2017. “Power Rangers” fandom is very much alive and well, with countless fan websites devoted to chronicling the various series and a bi-annual convention known as Power Morphicon, which gathers fans and actors from the show’s long history.
