NBC’s “Midnight, Texas” Gets New Season & New Changes

NBC is returning to Midnight.

It’s news fans of the supernatural drama have been waiting for ever since the series’ first season ended in 2017: Deadline reports that the Peacock network has ordered a second season of Midnight, Texas.

With the new season comes new changes. Monica Owusu-Breen, showrunner for its inaugural season has been succeeded by Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder, who served as consulting producers in Season 1.

The outlet also shares that Sarah Ramos (Creek) and Yul Vazquez (Rev. Emilio Sheehan) will not be returning as series regulars, but may return in a smaller capacity.

Based on the best-selling book series by Charlaine Harris (author of the novels that inspired “True Blood”), comes a journey into a remote Texas town where nothing is what it seems.

Home to a vampire, witch, angel and hitwoman, Midnight is a mysterious safe haven for those who are different. That is, until the arrival of a powerful psychic and the murder of one of their own.

As the town members fight off outside pressures from ever-suspicious cops, deadly biker gangs, and their own dangerous pasts, they band together and form an unlikely but strong family.
