An Army Will Rise to Battle Evil.
NBC on Friday released a trailer for its new supernatural series Midnight, Texas, an adaptation based on the best-selling book series by Charlaine Harris. While the minute-long trailer is a similar-but-shortened version of the first official trailer unveiled a few months ago, it does offer a few minor updates.

Now, in addition to touting its series premiere date (Monday, July 24), the promo also includes a small handful of shots of new footage, including a first glimpse of the demonic entity that is poised to threaten Midnight’s inhabitants throughout the season.

The town of Midnight sits on a veil between the living and hell. This supernatural thriller takes a journey into a remote Texas town called Midnight where nothing is what it seems.
Where being normal is strange and only outsiders fit in, Midnight is a mysterious safe haven for those who are different — a perfect place for anyone looking to hide from the outside world. As the town members fight off outside pressures from ever-suspicious cops, deadly biker gangs, and their own dangerous pasts, they band together and form an unlikely but strong family.
Midnight, Texas premieres July 24 on NBC.
