When Heroes Reborn premieres tonight on NBC, viewers will be introduced to a whole new crop of characters, with powers and without. Some characters are being kept heavily under wraps, that not much can be revealed.
“I can’t even say the character’s name,” Dylan Bruce tells OMFGTV of his Reborn character. “Isn’t that crazy? That’s how top secret it is.”
Bruce, however, does offer up some teases about his role, including the fact that his character is a survivalist, adding, “and being survivalist, sometimes you have to do things that are kind of cruel. The new heroes were born, there’s a lot of social inequalities going on and he’s the guy that’s exploiting those inequalities for profit. He definitely has a lot of skeletons in his closet.”
“I have been beefing up for the role,” Bruce continues. “I’ve been trying to put on pounds, so I don’t know if that means anything to you.”
Unfortunately for some, Dylan won’t get to show off much of his beefed up bod, saying, “They keep my clothes on for some reason. I don’t know what’s up with that. I’ve been working hard. I’m like sure, I’ll take my clothes off.”
We then suggest he ask the powers that be, series creator Tim Kring, to write him a shirtless scene. “Tim, let me take my shirt off! I didn’t do enough of that on Orphan Black already.”
Speaking of the BBC hit sci-fi show, Bruce says that his Orphan Black character and his Reborn character are a little similar, however, “this guy is more self-serving, more of a self-preservationist. He’s working for himself and he’s looking out for number one.”
Bruce goes on to say that he leaves the set with lots of bumps and bruises, so at least we know he’ll be involved with a lot of the action, and while he’s all banged up from a hard day’s work, he leaves set every day smiling.
“I’m having so much fun playing the guy I play. Heroes Reborn is going to be a really awesome show.”
Heroes Reborn airs tonight at 8pm on NBC.
