OMFGTV Visits the Portland Grimm Set for 100th Episode Celebration

After an incredible night of touring the sets, observing the filming of a scene, interviewing the cast, and then touring even more sets, it was time to call it a night. I headed back to the precinct to grab my belongings and noticed that aside from maybe 3 people, everyone else had already left.

It felt a bit eerie to be here with nearly no one in sight– the same feeling you get when you see someone all alone in a hospital like in the movies and TV. I grabbed my bag and before heading out, I took one last step into Captain Sean Renard’s office. “So much secret Wesen talk goes on in here,” I thought to myself.

I was looking at the awards on the wall when I heard footsteps behind me as someone entered the room. “Hey,” the voice said to me. “Have you seen my backpack? I hid it in here earlier today.” I turned around and was surprised to see that it was none other than Jacqueline Toboni, one of my absolute favorites on the show! Though I had already interviewed her earlier in the evening, it was such an awesome and trippy moment meeting and talking to her outside of that press environment.

She was very chill and relaxed. She’s the kind of person you would want to be friends with. Our fun interaction here, and watching her on set and even from the blooper reels, it’s easy to see why she’s blended so well with the cast and why David Giuntoli says their relationship off screen is like a brother and sister.

She and I headed out, we went our separate ways, and I was shuttled back to my hotel. All I could think about was how much love you could feel on the set. Every single person working on the show (even baby Kelly’s real parents!) were insanely passionate and proud to be a part of the series.

Congrats to everyone at Grimm for reaching 100 episodes! Here’s hoping for 100 more!

Grimm, The 100th Episode, airs March 11 at 9pm on NBC.
