The same day Disney+ drops Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on their service, they also unleash the latest episode of National Treasure: Edge of History, which turns up the heat with tons of plot twists and a major unexpected death. Jess and Rafael are forced to cooperate with Billie, while Ross gets closer and closer to the truth.

Stick to the Status Quo | Billie (Catherine Zeta-Jones) pulls up to a airport with Jess (Lisette Olivera) and Rafael (Jacob Vargas) in tow and takes possession of Rafael’s journal, but what she doesn’t know is that Jess has Ethan’s (Jordan Rodrigues) phone hidden in the bag containing the three relics. In America, Liam (Jake Austin Walker) and Oren (Antonio Cipriano) head to FBI HQ to tell Agent Ross (Lyndon Smith) the whole story, but they’ve searched Sadusky’s house and didn’t find Myles’s body, which makes their story fall apart. The FBI also brings in Tasha (Zuri Reed) and Ethan and interrogate them, with Ross revealing that Tasha’s grandmother was arrested for racial equality protests. Ross attempts to convince Tasha that she believes Jess is innocent, but Tasha doesn’t buy it for one second, even after Ross lets them go.

Collision Course | Tasha, Ethan, Oren and Liam regroup and try to track Ethan’s phone in Jess’s possession, while Billie and company are already airborne. Billie finds a hollowed out pencil in Rafael’s journal that holds a needle, while Jess fishes the phone from the bag and stashes it. But enough intrigue, time for Ross’s date with Dr. Hudson (Tommy Savas)! She talks about the case and that she’s been ordered to arrest Jess and won’t shut up about it, but Hudson agrees to help Ross look for evidence on Myles’s murder in Sadusky’s house. Meanwhile, the agents who cleaned up Myles’s body from the house realize that Liam’s phone was left at the scene and have to go back to find him.

Back on Billie’s plane, Billie finds Jess’s phone and takes out the SIM card out as Jess sends an SOS alert. Billie also realizes that the needle from Rafael’s journal unlocks Jess’s medallion from her mother that opens to reveal a compass to the treasure. The SOS alert goes to Meena’s (Salena Qureshi) phone at a bar and she calls Ethan to ask what’s going on and he explains everything, causing her to send the location of the phone to him. Using this, Tasha is able to track the trajectory of Billie’s plane to Mississippi.

The Real Threat | Ross and Hudson arrive at Sadusky’s house just as the agents do and one gets away with Myles’s phone, but Ross shoots the other and he dies before he can talk. On route to Mississippi, Liam finds a cipher hidden in a book left to him by Sadusky with words hidden in the book, as Tasha finds security camera footage of Billie, Jess and Rafael arriving at the Mississippi airport. Tasha records the footage and sends it to Ross, giving her all the evidence she needs to arrest Billie. Liam unlocks the cipher that reads that Billie is working for Salazar to destroy the treasure, as Ross and Hendricks (Armando Riesco) storm Billie’s empty jet, but Ross then sees red Tic Tacs in Hendrick’s pocket, which she deduces was the red dye found on Sadusky’s body. She handcuffs Hendricks to the jet, even as he denies everything and tells Hudson where she’s headed. Ross storms onto the swamp where Billie has Jess and Rafael, but is immediately killed with a freaking sword by Hendricks, who Rafael recognizes as Salazar! This took a turn!
