This week’s National Treasure: Edge of History has Billie and Jess teaming up to find the next clue, with both parties wary of each other’s true intentions and lots and lots of big twists! It’s a twisty week for sure, so let’s dive in!

Plot Twist | Picking up immediately after last week’s ending, Billie (Catherine Zeta-Jones) continues to drive Jess (Lisette Olivera) down the street and tells Jess that she is also a member of the secret society that is out to protect the treasure. She takes Jess to a restaurant and shows her a picture of Jess’s father with Billie’s brother and says that Salazar killed both of them. She also reveals that Liam (Jake Austin Walker) gave her the journal after he stole it, since he’s only in it for the money. Billie proposes to Jess that they work together to find the treasure, which Jess agrees to and she figures out a clue in the journal that spells out the words “Alamo Well.” Billie shows Jess the two relics she has and mentions that Liam sold her one of them, even though Jess was told that one went missing.

Till the End of the Line | Jess goes home to Tasha (Zuri Reed) and is worried that Salazar will find out about her and as such, tells her that she needs to continue alone. Tasha storms out and goes to see Oren (Antonio Cipriano), who puts on “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and compares her and Jess to Steve and Bucky. Jess goes to Sadusky’s house to confront Liam, but gets jumped by a bearded man who tries to kill her, until Kasey (Breeda Wool), one of Billie’s cronies chases him off. Kasey tells Jess that the guy works for Salazar and they both start plotting their heist at the Alamo.

Before getting on Billie’s jet, Jess leaves a note for Tasha, while Ethan (Jordan Rodrigues) heads to a hospital to apologize to Meena (Salena Qureshi). On his way out, he sees Liam bloody in a nearby hospital room, who comes to and reveals that he stole the journal to keep it from Billie and was beaten by Billie’s goons and dumped in the river.

At the Alamo, Jess and Billie head into the well, but Jess locks Billie in the well and heads off with the relics in her possession. She gets rescued by Tasha and Oren and Jess reveals that she always knew Billie was playing her and was leading her on so she could trap her in the well. She also points out that the Alamo clue was fake and they really need to go to a town in Mexico that wads formerly called the Alamo. Unfortunately, the well was robbed years ago and the man who did it was arrested and his name is Salazar. Jess plans to go to the prison to talk to Salazar, but going to Mexico would be bad for her as an undocumented immigrant. To make matters worse, Kasey calls Sadusky’s nurse, Myles (Dustin Ingram), who is a sleeper agent, and he gives the FBI fake evidence that links Jess to Sadusky’s death.
