National Treasure: Edge of History finally gives us the long awaited return of a certain character from the films and it does not disappoint in the strongest episode of the series yet! Jess and Liam bond during Sadusky’s funeral, while also trying to crack the latest clue. Agent Ross refuses to give up on the case, while Billie faces opposition.
Enter Mister Poole | Jess (Lisette Olivera) and Tasha (Zuri Reed) are stumped on the clue from Elvis’s golden record, but Jess manages to figure out that records from that time period were kept in a journal from a Mayan chronicler, but the journal could be anywhere. Elsewhere, a private jet lands in an airport and out comes- wait for it… Riley Poole (Justin Bartha), who calls Ben Gates to invite him onto his podcast, but turns out that someone named Charlotte is sick, so Riley must attend Sadusky’s wake alone. Speaking of, Liam (Jake Austin Walker) invites Jess to said wake and she agrees to bring Tasha and Oren (Antonio Cipriano), while Ethan (Jordan Rodrigues) must go golfing with his new girlfriend, Meena (Salena Qureshi).
Elsewhere, Billie (Catherine Zeta-Jones) presents her evidence to the board of her mysterious company, but one of the board members jumps her in the parking garage and demands the relics, but Billie’s hench woman kicks his ass and Billie hands him over to the board. Jess, Oren and Tasha meet Liam at Sadusky’s house for the wake and they see Riley there and pitch the clue to him so he can help figure it out. They’re interrupted by FBI agent Hendricks (Armando Riesco), who asks Riley what he and Ben are working on and all Riley can say is that there’s 47 reasons he should be interested…

Never Give Up | Oren freaks when he sees Riley and heads home to get Riley’s books for him to sign and sees Ethan post coitus with Meena and they decide to tag along to the wake. On route to the wake, Ethan spots a sketchy guy watching them from afar and warns Jess about it. Also at the wake? Agent Ross, who sneaks into Sadusky’s room to find his medications, although she gets busted by Hendricks, who tells her that he’s proud of her for not giving up on the toxicology report.
Riley also sneaks into Sadusky’s room and opens his secret room, where Jess finds him just as he removes the spectacles that unlocked the map on the Declaration of Independence, which triggers a lockdown and starts removing oxygen from the room. To make matters worse, they need three codes to unlock it, which they don’t have. While Liam performs a song at the wake in his grandfather’s memory, Tasha figures out that Riley and Jess are locked inside and tells Ethan, Oren and Liam, but they can’t open the vault. With Riley’s help, Jess finds hidden clues in the room that correspond to the codes needed to open the room, saving their lives.
A Traitor Among Us | Also with Riley’s help, Jess realizes that the clue refers to Sacagawea, since she was the translator for Lewis and Clark and hid the clue in her journals. Afterwards, Liam kisses Jess, which Ethan sees from afar, and Riley sees a picture Abigail Chase posted of Charlotte- their dog! Riley calls Ben to tell him what he found out and then calls Jess to inform her that Ben’s mother was approached by someone asking about the Elvis clue. Jess realizes that since she and Liam were the only ones who heard the clue, Liam may have sold them out…
