“Teen Wolf” Star Tyler Posey Previews Season 5

With all the recent deaths occurring in Beacon Hills all thanks to Teen Wolf‘s terrifying new villains — the Dread Doctors — Scott is beginning to get concerned.

OMFGTV recently spoke with the titular star, Tyler Posey, where he spoke about those concerns, Scott’s responsibilities, the tension between he and Stiles’ relationship, and trusting Theo.

“He’s really starting to take it to heart and he’s going to try to really actively try to do something about it and try to stop these deaths and try to beat the Dread Doctors to [their next victims] but they’re always nine steps ahead,” Posey says.

“Scott’s just kind of losing his mind. He doesn’t know what the hell is happening. It’s the first time we’ve seen Scott with no plan of action. He doesn’t know what to do, so it’s cool seeing him at a low point. It’s a lot of fun playing that. That’s where he’s heading to.”

The young actor explains that this season, his character goes to a very low point to where he can die and not care. “I think he blames himself for a lot of craziness in Beacon Hills so he gets to a really dark sad little point which is really interesting and really fun to play. And its relatable. Everyone goes through that stuff. It’s just good TV I can’t wait for you guys to see it. I can’t wait to see it. It’s awesome! Yes!”

Another story that makes for good TV is the tension between Scott and his best bud Stiles. “Dylan and I love each other and we have had a couple of disagreements in the past but nothing major nothing like what Scott and Stiles are going through. It’s fun because we are never like that so it’s really interesting to put yourself into the situation in this other body and to step away and like there’s this tension filled scene and the second we cut we hug each other. It’s really interesting; it’s really fun.”

Much like Tyler Posey, Scott’s character is a genuinely nice person who puts his trust in people, and sometimes in people who probably should not be trusted.

“Scott wants to give people the benefit of the doubt and so he trusts Theo. Why not? But Beacon Hills is crazy and there are a lot of doublecrossing and stuff like that so I think in the back of his head he has his guard up a little bit. Theo ends up becoming a friend of Scott’s because he’s there for him, so Scott’s cool with Theo but Stiles ain’t.”

Is Theo someone Scott should be worried about? “Theo’s definitely got a plan but Scott can definitely handle himself, maybe. It doesn’t seem like it in the end of the season. Should he be trusting Theo? You’ll have to find out.”

Teen Wolf airs Mondays at 10pm on MTV.
