With MTV’s Teen Wolf coming to an end with its forthcoming sixth and final season, fans of the supernatural drama undoubtedly have some burning questions: What does the future look like for Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) and Lydia (Holland Roden), and will any of their past favorite characters return before the show’s final farewell?
Earlier this summer, PopWire spoke with Teen Wolf boss Jeff Davis, where we tried our best to get him to reveal the deets.
During last season’s high-intensity finale, viewers got to see a brief, yet touching moment with Stiles at Lydia’s bedside. This begs the question: Will they or won’t they?

Davis was careful not to spoil anything, but does share that “Stydia” fans will get their answer in the season premiere. “The first episode has a real moment that can tell you probably which way [their relationship is] going,” he says.
While the shippers wait to see if the Stydia ship will set sail and make a comeback, others are dying to know if Allison (Crystal Reed) and Kira (Arden Cho) will pop up once again.
“Well, she’s dead,” Davis says of the bow and arrow-wielding Allison Argent. He explains that other shows like to keep bringing people back from the dead left and right and it got to a point where he and the writers were deciding whether or not they wanted to continually bring people back. Her return, however, is definitely not off the table.
“If the story is right and if the moment is right, I’d absolutely consider bringing her back, also I’d have to talk to Crystal and see where her head’s at.”

One of season five’s biggest mysteries was the identity of the beast. The story and mythology of that arc brought on an opportunity to bring Crystal Reed back, but not as Scott’s (Tyler Posey) former flame we’ve grown to know, love and mourn, but as an Argent relative who *cough* had a questionable accent that switched from French to Irish and then to British.
“It was a new twist and we both really loved her coming back and being a part of the show again and having her play a different character who was still related to Allison.”
Interestingly enough, Reed’s return to the series was thanks to and inspired by Arden Cho, who played her own mother in World War II during the Kitsune/Nogitsune arc. The writers bounced around the idea of bringing Reed back for the character Marie-Jeanne Valet and when contacting the actress to pitch her about their broad idea, wooed her with the fact that she’d get to put on a French accent.

Not too long ago, the idea for a Kira-centric spin-off was brewing in the mind of Teen Wolf creator, Davis. With the sword-swinging beauty breaking off of Scott’s pack of friends to join the Skinwalkers, we figured this would give Arden free time to work on the off-shoot. Not only that, but her venturing off with the Skinwalkers seemed like a perfect setup for a spin-off series.
Plans for a show based on Kira, at this point, however, are not looking likely. When asked if development is dead, Davis says, “it’s hard to say.”
“I’ve had projects resurface after years and years when I thought they were ice cold and suddenly somebody wants to do it. It would depend on the network, the studio and Arden. I love Arden to death. She always looks so good carrying a sword. She was such a bad-ass hero. We miss her in this season.”
So, will the bad-ass hero make her way back to Beacon Hills come next season? “The door is always open,” Davis says, “so we’ll see.
The 20-episode final season of Teen Wolf premieres November on MTV.
