Ms. Marvel is only getting cooler and crazier in this week’s episode, “Seeing Red.” Kamala and Muneeba are forced to go to Pakistan to get some answers, where Kamala meets a new ally and learns of the Clandestines’ plan. Let’s dive in!
Welcome to Pakistan | Kamala (Iman Vellani) and Muneeba (Zenobia Shroff) are on a plane to Pakistan to meet Kamala’s grandmother, but the tension between them is palpable after what happened at the wedding. Kamala is frantically texting Nakia (Yasmeen Fletcher) to check in on her, but Nakia hasn’t responded. They land in Pakistan and meet Nani, who takes them to her home and casually confirms to Kamala their magical heritage. She also says that the train she saw in her vision is the same train that she took out of the country when she was younger.
Mask Up | While out on the town with her cousins, Kamala sneaks away to go to the train station to look for clues with her mask on. There, she is attacked by a masked man (Aramis Knight) throwing daggers at her, saying that he sensed her energy. After a skirmish, the masked man mentions Ayesha and when Kamala recognizes that name, he takes her to a hidden chamber behind a Chinese restaurant. There he introduces her to the leader of the Red Daggers, a secret society that hunts down extra dimensional threats.

They tell her that the Clandestines are planning on using her powers to tear down the barrier between their dimension and ours so they can destroy our world. Speaking of the Clandestines, they break out of a Damage Control prison, but leave Kamran (Rish Shah) behind for helping Kamala. Later, the masked man takes Kamala to the beach with his friends and introduces himself as Kareem.
Rickshaw Chase | As Kamala is practicing her powers with Kareem and his mentor, the Clandestine attack them, kicking off a chase through the streets, with Kamala and Kareem on a rickshaw who somehow manage to outrun the attackers. Kareem’s mentor distracts Kamran’s mother, but she kills him and then corners Kamala and shoves her spear into her bracelet, causing a burst of energy. Next thing we know, Kamala is now in India decades ago, on a train with thousands of refugees fleeing the country.
