The CW’s new comedy/drama Jane the Virgin, about a young woman who is accidentally artificially inseminated, is full of wild and exuberant personalities. Our absolute favorite of the bunch is Jane’s mother, Xiomara, who is wonderfully played by the very beautiful Andrea Navedo.

“She’s very different,” Navedo says of her character. “She’s full of life, very vivacious, looking for love in all the wrong places, young at heart, doesn’t want to grow up, aspiring singer. She’s awesome.”
We totally agree.
Jane the Virgin airs Mondays this fall on The CW.
