Netflix’s “Love, Death + Robots” Finally Announces Vol 2 and 3 with Trailer!

Volume 2 of the sereis hits Netflix on May 14

It’s been over a year since Netflix dropped the first volume of their animated science fiction anthology series Love, Death + Robots and fans of the short stories have been salivating for more.

Now, Netflix has finally answered those prayers with a trailer and first-look photos for the highly anticipated second volume of the series, set to drop on May 14. But that’s not all: The trailer also announces that volume 3 will hit the streaming service in 2022!

Created by filmmakers Tim Miller (“Deadpool,” “Terminator: Dark Fate”) and David Fincher (“Mank,” “Fight Club”), “Love, Death + Robots” is a short form anthology series adapting science fiction and fantasy short stories in various animated styles and formats. Volume 1 consisted of 18 short episodes ranging from 2-18 minutes in length and adapted stories from famed authors such as Ken Liu, John Scalzi, Alastair Reynolds and more.

Volume 2 has announced that it will consist of eight episodes, each from a different director and animation studio. Miller is returning to direct one episode, while “Kung Fu Panda 2” director Jennifer Yuh Nelson will direct another.

The Tall Grass | Directed by Simon Otto; Based on a short story by Joe Lansdale; Animated by Axis Animation.

All Through the House | Directed by Elliot Dear; Based on a short story by Joachim Heijndermans; Animated by Blink Industries.

Life Hutch | Directed by Alex Beatty; Based on a short story by Harlan Ellison; Animated by Blur Studio.

The Drowned Giant | Directed by Tim Miller; Based on a short story by JG Ballard; Animated by Blur Studio.
